Your browser holds the private access
When you publish or start a conversation, Papotons saves a capability token in IndexedDB on that device. The token authorizes only the corresponding private operation.
The privacy tradeoff to understand
Because there is no account recovery by email, clearing browser data can remove your local access. Papotons provides a local backup and restore option for people who want one.
Public cards, private conversations
A temporary card is public within its city notebook. Replies, conversation media, and meetup planning stay behind capability tokens and are not exposed as public pages.

Can I use private browsing?
The site may open, but private browsing can block or erase the local storage required to retain cards and conversations.
Does no account mean no moderation?
No. Cards and conversations can be reported, rate limits apply, and access can be removed when the service rules are violated.
